black screens on Win Mail

Have had numerous problems with Mail since I got new computer and installed
Home and Student Office 2007. Now the mail screen comes up completely black
and although I think the program is running, e.g.. sending/receiving mail, I
cannot see it through the black screen. Mail has generally been very slow.

I have disabled the email scan on Macafee virus protection and turned off
the windows firewall.

Ideas? Downloads?

Sorry, this newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product
that's part of Office Professional.

You'll need to find a more appropriate newsgroup, such as
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail (and I'm afraid I don't know whether you
can get to that newsgroup through the web interface)
