Black strip in Project 2002 file

I have a project 2002 file that have been saved on my computer for quite long
time now. When i opened it, there is a vertical black strip covering a part
of the chart. This only happens to this particular file since the other
project files that i have doesn't have this black stip. I tried copying the
file on a new project document, but the black stip is also transferring to
the new file. Can anyone please help me? How should I remove that black stip?

Hi Salvador,

Is the black strip selectable? If you hover your mouse over the line,
do you get a small four-headed arrow next to your mouse pointer? If so,
it sounds like it is a drawn object. If you click on the line to select
it, and press your delete key does it disappear?

It is alos possible that the verticle line is a gridline that has been
added to the Gantt chart. See Format > Gridlines and look for lines
that have been added to:
Current Date,
Status Date
Project start.
