Blackberry Duplicate Issue

J

Josh

I have my blackberry synchronized with Outlook 2003 and when I reply to a
received message through Outlook a duplicate message appears in my
Blackberry.

The duplicate of the received message has none of the content from my reply
so it literally is an exact duplicate.

Is there any setting for me to change that would disable this?

Are you syncing mail with outlook using desktop manager or using BIS?

I too am having the same issue. I am going through the BIS for setting
up my email account and I am using Outlook 2007. I utilize Desktop
Manager for syncing appointments and such but email does not sync
through the Desktop Manager. If I set it up through the Outlook Web
Access way on the Blackberry website it will stop the duplicate
emails. Unfortunately setting it up using the OWA method will not
delete messages on your phone when you delete them in your outlook.
The BIS method will delete the messages when deleted off Outlook.
Right now I am picking the lesser of two evils and putting up with the
duplicate emails.

Do you still get duplicates if you stop syncing your calendar for a few
days?

Check in the blackberry forums (at either blackberry.com or
crackberry.com) - everyone there uses blackberry and many use outlook with
BIS, increasing your chances that someone may know why its happening.

Have been looking at them for months and Blackberry tells me it must
be a microsoft setting. The duplicates happen anytime I reply to a
message from my outlook inbox even if I havent done a sync for several
days. Something about the reply creating a seperate email ID for the
original message through exchange. My IT has no idea what they are
talking about.
