blank document has symbol

I've reviewed and tried the fixes in "blank document not blank" but they
don't work. I recently installed Word 2002 onto my new laptop. Its operating
system is Vista. I have the same program on my office computer & it works
fine but from the first, when I open Word the blank document has a border
(for lack of a better word) in each corner. It looks like part of a square...
top left corner has right and bottom of square, top left has left and bottom,
etc. I can't click on them or access them in any way. Maybe its because I'm
trying to use this program in Vista. Any help would be appreciated.

Those look like crop marks? This is because you have support for Asian
