blank document in MAC word 2001

Somehow the blank page has become a document that I
previously typed. How do you change it back so that when
you open new blank document it is actually blank?

Word's "blank document" is generated from the Normal template, found in
the Microsoft Office 2001:Templates folder.

Rename it, with Word closed. Then open Word.

If you have any macros, autotext, toolbars, etc, in your existing Normal
template, use the Organizer to transfer them to the new Normal.
