Blank Document

They most likely put that text in the "normal template" -
a document that Word uses as an example for all blank or
new files.

You can Search in Windows for "normal.dot" or in Word
select File -> Open and set the 'Files of type'
to 'Document templates (*.dot)' - you'll find the
normal.dot file usually on your C: drive, under Documents
and Settings - username - Application Data - Microsoft -
Templates.

Right click this file and choose open - delete all the
offending text, then save the file.

Check it by restarting Word and creating a new document.
