I've searched and searched but I really haven't found a solution to my
problem. Other people seem to be having the same exact problem, and the
answer is "something is wrong with Outlook," but no solution.
Problem description: After installing recent Windows security patches and
the Office 2003 SP, I have started receiving e-mails from some friends (not
all) with a completely blank msg body and I send e-mails that are sometimes
received blank. This has not happened in the past. If I access the e-mails
via the web server, they appear just fine; it is only after they are
downloaded to Outlook at home. I have observed that the blank e-mails
received are encoded US-ASCII; if I change them to Unicode (UTF 7) they
sometimes reappear. What is causing this to happen? Is it related to the
barrage of Microsoft updates?
I'm running Win XP Pro and Microsoft Outlook 2003 with the most up-to-date
patches; I'm using a pop account with a local ISP. I also run Norton's
Internet Security.
I just want to read my e-mail. Thanks for the help.
