Blank field until selected

I have a currency field and a number field that I would
like to be blank until data is entered into them. How can
I get this to happen? I have tried using = "" in the
default value, but as soon as the primary field has data
entered in these fields populate with a 0. Thanks for the
help.

sounds like the default value of those fields in the underlying table is set
to zero. Access does this automatically when you add a number field to a
table, unfortunately. open the table in design view and check those fields'
Default Value property.
