Blank Images and Pictures

I am trying to insert some scanned images to a Word document.
Everything seems to work fine, but only get an empty wire frame when I
am in Page Layout View. I can see the pictures when I go into the Edit
Picture window, so I know they are there.

My question is: is there any way to see the actual image when in Page
Layout view. It sure is a hassle to have to bring up the Edit Picture
window everytime I want to see the picture.

If Beth's suggestion did not work, check for the presence of a white square
bounding box encasing the image. This is often a rectangle produced by the
scanner to set the image dimensions.

If you find it, either set it to have no fill, or set it "Send to Back" or
delete it (Word does not need it).

Hope this helps
