Blank resource names for newly created resource in PWA.

We use Project Server 2002 SP1. I created 3 enterprise resources by opening
ER Pool and entering the data. These resources show up fine in Project Pro
client and even in Build Team from Enterprise tool. However they show with a
blank resource name in PWA (Resource Summary view). Even their ER outline
codes are blank. I checked the table MSP_WEB_RESOURCES. These 3 resources are
listed with their unique IDs in the table.

Have any of you been in a similar situation. Please advise your approach to
correct it.

Thanks,
I-Ali

I-Ali,

Have you reviewed the names listed in the PWA administration pages under Manage Users and Groups? What shows up there?

It shows up as regular resource name with their correct windows account as
was defined when I created them from Project Pro 2002 SP1. They are all added
to Team Members group as well.

It seems to me that you might see errors in the application event log in the
server corresponding to this incident. If everything else is working well
with your system, there may have been a momentary glitch in publishing. The
best way to overcome this is to open the resources again, change something,
then save. This will force a republish. Even if you have to change
information to incorrect values and back again, this might work for you.

We rebooted the server and that seemed to have cleared up the problem.

I will implement your recommendation next time I see the error.

Thanks.
