Blank resource, rates in ent res pool and plan are out of sync

All,

I posted it earlier in the wrong thread.

I am seeing the strangest thing in MS Project Server 2003. I have a project
on which this blank resources is getting added over and over again. I remove
the resource, save and close the project plan. When I open it again, it shows
up. It is just a blank resource. It is not assigned to any task.

Also, all the named enterprise resources have costs in A and B tabs. The B
tab rates are getting wiped off and the time phased rates in A tab are
gettimg removed. Only the latest A rate in enterprise is being retained.

This example should explain it.

In enterprise resource pool, John Smith has the following rate structure

Date A B
-- 75/h 50/h
1/1/2007 80/h 55/h
1/1/2008 85/h 60/h

But on the plan, John Smith shows up as.

Date A B
-- 85/h 0/h

This seems to be the pattern on all the enterprise resources (named or
generic).

Please advise if it is a known issue and a corrective solution if there is
one.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I seen this issue earlier. The main cause of this issue is, some work
assigned to blank resource. As you said, it causes the huge
duplication.

The only solution that worked for me is, save the project plan in XML
version. Import the project back to server and it will clear the
issue.

Thanks

Chak,
Thanks for your reply.

That is not a possibility because we use timesheet lockdown. Saving it as
XML will not allow their actual hours to synch with their timesheet.

Is there a hotfix?
