Hello to everyone,

I just want to ask your help concerning my spreadsheet
calculation

A B C
( Budget ) ( Expenses ) ( Result )
1- 50,000 60,000 -10,000
2 - 45,000 45,000 -
3 - 75,000 35,000 35,000

Question :
If the result in ‘C’
1 - is over budget then show the figure in red color
2 - is equal to budget then show “ – “ or a blank cell
3 - if is less than the budget then highlight the cell
with blue color

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance.

Jayvee,

Format - Cells - Number - Custom:

[Blue]#,##0_);[Red](#,##0);

The first section (as delimited by semicolons) is for positive numbers, the
next for negative, and the third for zero values (nothing there). You can
change the formatting codes as needed.
