blank second page

hi... newbie here.....

i typed one page that fits just fine on a single page, but for some reason
it shows a second page that is blank when i saved it. so now when i print
it out, the printer kicks out the second blank page as well. how do i make
it one page only?

Click the paragraph button on your toolbar to turn ON the
formatting marks. This will enable you to see all manual
line breaks and spaces. Click your cursor at the end of
the last word on page one and start pressing the delete
key on your keyboard until page two goes away.

There are probably a number of carriage returns at the
bottom of the page forcing a second page.

At the top of the Word screen there should be a button
with a backwards capital "P". Clicking that on will
display all the paragraph marks. Now that you see them
you can delete them and shorten.
