Blank Tasks in Project 03 file

I'm an 07' user and received an 03' file with a lot of blanks in the task
name. All of the blanks are related to a specific resource so my first
thought was that someone accidentally erased all of their task names when
they were updating the project. I asked this question and was told - "I
didn't erase anything, the file got corrupted." This same file is now having
error messages (memory) with PertChart Expert so I'm wondering what the cause
of this could have been.

Any insight would be appreciated!

There was some discussion of this last year with 2007 first came out. I
haven't seen anything up here in awhile. I believe this was one of the fixes
in the service packs.

To help avoid the problem, make sure you are using the latest service packs
and all updates:

MS Project 2003 uses Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 3
MS Project 2007 uses Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 1

See if using these installs eliminates future problems. I do not recall the
solution for the legacy files other than typing.
