Blank Windows after update

Hello,

Win98/Office2000

Just ran office update, and now I'm getting blank boxes on
my taskbar that just go away when I click on them. They
have no text whatsoever.

If I leave PC alone for a bit, and come back, I will have
many, many of these blank windows on my taskbar.

Any ideas?
