blanked out emails

I started getting blanks in my list of recieved and opened emails.
They appear as a grayed out area. If you click on a spot the email
details comes up. occasionally I get one that comes up willa message
window saying "The action could not be completed, Mail Error". I can't
even select this email to delete it.

After I have selected the block of grayed out emails and clicked o
them so they are visible, if I close Entourage and then re-open it,
they appear grayed out again. It sumtimes got to the point where the
message just kept coming up and I had to go to Force Quit to get out
of the loop. I was afraid that the whole thing would crash.

I was very concerned as I use this in a home office and all my
contacts and calenders etc. are in there. I took my computer, a G4
Ibook to my local tech and he determined that my airport card was not
showing up. I don't normally use airport although I have done so when
traveling so I didn't notice it. I then took the mac to an Apple
dealer and they confirmed that the airport card was toast and the
logic board was in serious trouble. I had to make a decision to fix it
or buy a new computer. I bought a brand new I mac. I have been going
through many pains getting going as a bunch of my old software that
runs on OS 9 won't work now. The PC side is all the things I don't
like about Windows and PCs

The concern is all of a sudden, my Entourage is doing it again. Did I
just spend $2500 for nothing? I did transfer all my old emails to
Apple Mail so all is not lost but Mail does not do what Entourage does
and I have a Treo 700p phone linked to Entourage with contacts and
calenders etc.

I did download an Entourage update and install it but the problem
persists. What is going on?

This is a sign of database corruption. You need to rebuild your database:
How to rebuild your database:

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/database/rebuild.html>

Be sure to duplicate your database before rebuilding in case there is a
problem. As long as Entourage will open you can salvage your data is the
rebuild does not solve the problem.
