blinking orange icon

G

Guest

intermittently, when I click on a word document, it will
fall to the bottom of the desktop and blink in orange. To
get into it, I have to click on the blinking icon.
Annoying and virus-like but ran Norton and no bugs.
Ideas?

This happens to me sometimes with various apps (including non-Office and non-Microsoft). I'm pretty sure it's not a virus.
I haven't heard about how to avoid it, but imagine it would be OS related. I checked the Properties of the Taskbar and couldn't
find anything.

Anyone have any ideas?

Blinking problems are usually a symptom of the Norton Office plug-in.
Disable that and see how you go.

This is caused by a conflict with the Norton Office Plug-in. See "Title Bars
