I've read many posts here about the spam filter not filtering anything
or the "blocked/safe senders" feature not working properly, but they
all seem to apply to Exchange accounts. I have two email accounts
being handled by Outlook 2007--an Exchange account, and a POP/SMTP
account. The spam filter and blocked/safe senders feature seem to work
only for the Exchange account, though. I have added certain addresses
and even domains to the "blocked senders" list more times than I can
count, but that feature won't work if the message is sent to my POP3
email account. Those messages from "blocked" addresses go straight to
my inbox. I've had this setup (Exchange + POP3) for years since
Outlook 2000, going through XP/2002 and then 2003. Never had a
problem until I upgraded to Outlook 2007 a few weeks ago. Is this a
bug, or is there a magic checkbox deep within the Tools | Options that
will make Outlook honor the "blocked senders" list for all accounts?
