I'm wondering what to do to block the automated submission of
browser-enabled forms. We would like to use InfoPath forms on the Internet to
collect a variety of information from anonymous users (un-authenticated).
With asp.net web-forms we would display a generated image that contains a
code the user has to enter in order to submit the form successfully. This
keeps the database from filling up with junk data and helps prevent DoS
attacks from robots that could hammer the site with repeated submissions. But
browser-enabled InfoPath can't use the Picture control so I'm not seeing a
way to prevent this type of abuse using the standard technique.
If I can't come up with something we will not be able to use InfoPath. Any
ideas or suggestions are welcome.
