Blocking out Holidays and row adjustment questions

Hi All,

I work with Project 2000 and have a couple of questions
that I hope you can help me with. 1) How do I block out
all holiday times throughout the year on the schedule
where no work will be done? and 2) I am unable to resize
my rows for some reason and have checked every thing I
know to check in order to do so. I'm sure it's something
that I'm doing wrong, but any help on how I can adjust
them would be appreciated!

Thanks,
June

Hi June

for your first question check out tools / change working time ... select the
holidays and check non-working time.

as to your second, i'm sorry but i've got no idea.

Cheers

June,
For you first question you want to modify the standard calendar to
reflect your company's holidays. Go to Tools/Change Working Time. Select
each holiday and designate it as Nonworking time. As long as your
project file indicates the standard calendar (the default), the modified
calendar will now apply to all tasks in your project.

For your second question, how are you trying to resize row height? There
are basically two ways. One is via the row height setting under
View/Tables/More Tables, at the lower right corner of the Table
Definition window. The other is to simply select all tasks and then put
the mouse cursor on the dividing line between any two rows and drag up
or down. If you have already used one of these methods, the most
prominent reason why row height can't be reduced is because either the
font size is too large to allow smaller row height or something in the
Gantt graphic is preventing resizing (e.g. text is placed above or below
the Gantt bars).

Hope this helps.

Hi John,

Thank you for your help. I had tried both methods that you
mentioned to adjust the row heights, but did not have any
success.

Thanks again!

June,
But you never said exactly what you problem with row height adjustment
was. Are you trying to increase the row height or are you trying to
decrease the row height? I already gave you some ideas of why you may
not be able to decrease row height, but not being able to increase row
height is another issue.
