Blocking Text for Copying. Cursor speed

Is there a solution? When I block/highlight text that run beyond the
bottom or top of the screen causes problems. One I move the highling
beyond the bottom or screen top it just takes off very fast
highlighting up or down the document.
I can't seem to contol it to stop it were I want it to stop. Is there
a way to slow it down?

The simple solution is to click where you want to start,
use the scroll bar to move to where you want to stop and
click again.

Can't slow it down but you can control it. Place your cursor at the
beginning of where you want to copy, click the scroll button to the right
and scroll down to the last area you want to copy. Hold the SHIFT key and
click your mouse at the point. Everything in between will be selected. You
can also triple-click to select a paragraph, hold the SHIFT key and click in
another paragraph to select it.
