Bloody Configuratie Assistent

Hey..

I recently purchased Microsfot office 2008 for the mac but something is not working correct. I installed it and updated to the newest version with that Update program (12.1.2 I think it is) but when I try to open word/excel/etc. it opens the Configuration Assistent all the time. So I click I don't want to coöperate with blablabla and then I close it and it opens the Update program!! So I search for updates and ofcourse it doesnt find any cause there are none left! And when I close that nothing happens and I repeat the progress all over again, it's very anoying.

Can anybody help me with this cause it was an expensive program,

Having same issue myself, so if you figure it out, i'd love the help, and will keep an eye out for a reply, and let you know if i have any luck

I have the same EXACT problem. What is going on? I can't open ANY of the program (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc). It keeps opening the Auto Update program and it keeps checking for new updates but it won't open the application itself. VERY frustrating, Microsoft!

You have a bad install. Follow the steps to remove Office and re-install.
