Blue Screen of Death

I just loaded Office Enterprise 2007 last week and since then my computer
will get the Blue Screen of Death even while not in office and at random
times. Once while in office, once while online, another time while in
excel. I suspect it has to do with the install. Is there a way I can check
what caused the BSofD? I am running Windows XP SP2 with all the latest
updates.

Hi,

In general Microsoft Office will not cause a blue screen, although
sometimes Microsoft put things into Office that COULD cause a blue
screen (e.g. text-to-speech or special print or imaging driver).

Blue screens are usually caused by system problems such as a failing
hard drive, badly written driver, virus/spyware activity, failing
memory, bad power supply and so on.

Your symptoms sound a bit random; if you were getting a blue screen
every time you tried to print, that would be easy to fix.

Best thing to do is check your Event log for all Errors and Warnings in
recent days, then post the exact blue screen details. You may be able to
phone Microsoft to help if your version of Windows is supported.
(Whether they'll know how to load up your crash dump and read the
results in another story).

Hi,

If you want help with this, please post the exact Blue Screen messages.
You may be able to get them from your Event Log.
