Blue Shading in Tables

R

Rick

In Word 2007

When I put my cursor in the cell of a table, the entire row is shaded in blue.

When I start typing, the cell I'm in stays blue and the adjacent cells
become darker blue. As I keep typing the blue in the adjacent cells becomes
so dark that the text is unreadable.

This repeats row by row.

If I scroll the table outside of the window area and then scroll back to the
table the shading is gone.

There does not seem to be a setting to control this. What's going on and
how can I fix this?

This is a result of having certain buttons on the QAT. Among those known to
cause the problem are "Different first page" and "Different odd and even."
If you discover others, please let us know.

I added both of those buttons to my QAT, and cannot make the problem occur.
I wonder if it's possible that it was fixed in SP2 for Office 2007.

It's all fixed now. I had customized the tool bar to have "different first
page". I removed that button and all is back to normal now. What a crazy
bug. Thanks for the help.
