Blurry screen capture images in Word 2002

Yes, this is why I am monitoring this user group. I just
upgraded from Word 2000 to Office XP. The photo preview
pane that is viewable as you search through your photo
files looking for a photo to insert into a document now
shows a highly degraded image. In Word 2000, the image
shown was of fairly high quality. Is there a way to
adjust the quality of the image displayed in the preview
pane?

Hi Mike,

Are you talking about the Office dialog for previews
in Insert=>Picture=>From File or something in Windows XP?
There isn't a setting in the Office dialog but your
graphic sizing may be impacted by the setting in
Tools=>Options=>General=>Web Options for Picture
Pixels per inch.

Office XP does have a different internal graphics
engine than previous versions, but screen captures
appear about the same in Word2000 and Word 2002 on
this system.

What graphics card are you using and have you checked
for upgraded drivers for it?
