Blury Picture

I have been working on my website for a little while, and obviously it
includes a lot of pictures. I have created and inserted all of the pictures
the same way, but today I put one up that is blurry when I go to the site.
In "preview" mode, and if I preview it in Internet Explorer it looks fine.
But after I publish it and go to the site, it's blurry. The page with the
blurry picture is:

Every other picture in the site was inserted the same way, and they are all
JPG's. Any ideas???

Did you change the size of the photo from within FrontPage. If so , that was
a bac idea! The photo has been over optimized to 17kb. Work on the original
again optimize it to 50-60kb. what method are you using to 'finish' your
photos for the site?
The macaroon photo (about the same size) is 247kb .... too large a file
size! The word Oatmeal isn't showing properly.
Where are the prices???

Ok...I'll try to answer everything:

Did you change the size of the photo from within FrontPage --- yes, but I
did with all the others as well

what method are you using to 'finish' your photos for the site? --- I'm not
sure what "finishing" is. I insert the file, size it, position it, and save
the site.

The word Oatmeal isn't showing properly. Where are the prices??? --- A lot
of things are out of place and/or missing. The site isn't even close to
finished. Right now, if you click on the 'special offers' box on the home
page, it goes to pictures of my newborn son so my family can see!

I'm not sure how to adjust the size of the file. As if it's not completely
obvious yet, I'm an extremely new user to FP or any other type of web
design.

Don't use FP to edit images. That one looks like you upscaled it- you can't
upscale an image.

Before you go too far with this site, download Firefox and preview it in FF.
By using tools from FP's Draw toolbar (autoshapes, textboxes, etc) you are
using VML (vector markup language) which will not render well in browsers
other than IE.

STOP using image editing with FP. You need to learn to do all these things
before you import the 'finished' images into your site. I recommend Paint
Shop Pro v.10 (Not version XI) or the new Photoshop Elements v.5. There is a
lot you need to learn ... too much for me to explain here, here's an out of

Also, don't use absolute positioning... it's too tricky for you to get it
working properly.

I downloaded firefox and checked it out - I had no idea it would be so
screwed up. Thanks for the advise. I obviously an extremely new FP user,
but I'm just trying to learn as I go along. I have another question - I'm
wondering if this somewhat of a solution to the different browsers problem.
If I created the entire look of each of the pages on my site in another
program like Photoshop or something like that, then inserted the image and
added hotspots for the links, would that eliminate the problem? Since I'm
going to have an extremely simple site, I won't be using many of the
features that FP offers anyway. Would this make my site the slowest loading
site on earth? Also, would the hotspots be moved around in different
browsers? Or is this just an extremely stupid idea for many other reasons?

I used irfanview for the blurry picture and it worked perfectly! Thanks for
the recommendation.

It's partially a bad way...especially if you don't throw away all the slices
you don't need.
