Boarders on columns?

I'm creating a 3 fold pamphlet in word 2000/office 2000.
I have the 3 columns of text but how do I put a boarder around each
individual column and not the whole page?
Every time I try it it puts it around the whole page and not all three
columns.
Do I have to use tables instead? Will tables let me show a border around
each table if I make three tables like columns?

Thanks,
Amber

Yes, you can use a table or a text box and apply a border to it, but your
layout option in both table cells and text boxes (and frames) are quite
limited. For this application you'd do better to create the borders as
drawing objects (rectangles) anchored to the document header.
