This is very odd. I have two users out of 20 that are having problems with
some incoming emails. The problem mails will have the body of the message
removed but any attachments will be fine. This has been going on since last
week (no changes to the environment that I'm aware of). In troubleshooting I
have been able to figure out that the only messages that this is happening
with are those sent from our corporate office where there is a high number of
total recipients. No one else within the corporation is experiencing this
problem so it's not something with the corporate setup. Based on a process
of elimination I figure out it's recipients related. If the same sender
sends the same message that the recipient just got which had a blank body
just to that particular user, they get the message, body and all just fine.
I thought the problem was with the external mail service provider (POP
access), but that would not explain why the same message would be received by
a few people in the office while the body is removed for these two others.
My thinking is now it must be PC related. All the users at the site are
running Outlook 2003.
PCs have Junk E-mail options set to Low or No Automatic. They each have in
the safe sender list one of the senders which is resulting in the removed
body. The messages with the removed body will at times appear in the Junk
Mail Folder.
I'm really as a loss here. I cannot figure out what I'm missing? Any ideas?
