Bold Checkboxes

Is there any way to make True checkboxes appear in bold (or with bolded
checkmark) to especially emphasize what is checked in a list of
possible checkboxes? I try to bold the checkbox and it prints exactly the
same
darkness as an unbolded checkbox.

You can get tricky and use the ZapfDingbats symbol for a ticked box
and bold that
