Bold on Word 2000

Hi:
All letters/words automatically 'Bold,'
although I never prefer to get 'Bold,'
rather I love to see/type 'normal.'

On my try for this to stop, I clicked and re-clicked 'Bold,'
at the top, but still persistently all letters/words become
'bold.'

How to stop 'Bold?'

If you have inadvertently zoomed your screen, normal letters will look bold.
Do they print bold as well? If not and it's just the screen, hold CTRL and
unzoom using the mouse zoom wheel.

You can toggle off bold by CTRL-B. Also toolbar button should work. If bold
is selected it will look depressed. If that doesn't do it, you will look
depressed. But no worry. Nearly everyone on here is more skilled than I am,
so your answer shouldn't be long coming.
