Book for Excel Beginner

Looking for a book that will bring me up to speed in
about one month. I am a basic user of Excel and am going
to be in a Support function. Using Excel 2000 and Excel
2002.

Given your text, I wouldn't think you could go too wrong with any of John
Walkenbach's Bible Series IMO

I recommend in addition to any book you might get, that you spend a lot of
time here in these newsgroups reading other people's problems, and the many
answers to each........then start trying to figure out the answer yourself
before you read the responders answers.........it continues to help me,
every day.............

Yes, I endorse this view. Books are fine for liner
learning but practical problem can be tricky and books may
not have straight forward answers which is quite

I agree wholeheartedly. Maybe one day I will earn MVP
honors in Excel 2002 or Excel 2003 ;-). This is how I
learned the ins and outs of WIN2000 AD.
