book recommendation

W

wb

Hello,

I need to become proficient in creating some complicated word docs
fairly quickly. I was wondering if someone in this group could recommend a
decent book for someone who's never used word for more than just typing
letters. I'm looking for something that would teach me how to create a doc.
that I could have drop down boxes in, users click on a check mark and have
it open other documents.

Thanks,
Will

G'day Will,

just fiddle with the tools on the Forms toolbar and use tables with
sensible borders (some invis) to layout the information. Hardset row
sizes and the form wont change.

When its ready to test, select Tools > Protect Document.

My Word Spellbook from my site touches lightly on this sort of stuff
in the chapter on advanced documents. See my address block at the
extreme bottom.

Besides what Steve suggests, you may also want to read the tutorials and
other information at mvps.org/word and on my website (more advanced stuff).
