Booklet Making

Bruce Osborne

I would like to take our current church bulletin, which is 5 pages,
landascape orientation, 2 columns, and have it printed in booklet
format so my secretary does not have to 'cut and paste' it together.

Thanks!!

Hi Bruce,

there is an article on the Mactopia website called "Create a booklet in
Microsoft Word",
<http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/word2004/using.aspx?pid=usingword2004
&type=howto&article=/mac/library/how_to_articles/office2004/wd_booklet.xml>.
A faster and easier solution would be to download the free Cocoa Booklet
application <http://www.iconus.ch/fabien/cocoabooklet/>, which will
automatically rearrange all the pages of a PDF file to print them as a
ready-to-be-folded booklet. You will have to save your Word file as a PDF
document first (File>Print, Save as PDF).

Oh, holy moly, do *not* mess with their solution. There is no reason to use
linked text boxes for a simple booklet, on the Mac.

Yes, do that. Additional comments at the link Beth suggested, but not
really necessary, Cocoa Booklet is pretty self-explanatory.

Take a look at <www.bluesquirrel.com> I have used their booklet making
software for over 5 years. It is very, very easy to do and prints in
many sizes and formats. One version is for PC, one for Mac.
