booklet printing MSWord 2003

Gussie

I must print a 48 page document in manual duplex booklet. Using MSWord 2003.
The application prints page 1 on front right, page 18 on front left, page 3
on back left and page 43 on back right. Totall messed up.
The only correct pages are on the front right. But I cannot discern a
pattern for the incorrectly placed pages.
In some documentation I read that a booklet exceeding 20 pages must be
printed in sections. How do I do that?

Please help. Three documents waiting for clients.

If you have "All" selected for "Sheets per booklet" and have a total number
of pages divisible by 4 (which 48 is), this *should* be working correctly.
You could chose "24" as the number of pages per booklet and do it in two
booklets, but I doubt that that would give the result you want (nor is it
guaranteed to work any better). When you get tired of fooling with this
flawed feature, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/BookletPrinting.htm
