found macros for word2000 but cannot seem to make those
instructions work on the mac. Please help.

The macros won't work in MacWord - though I've never torn them apart
to see if there are workarounds.

However, Suzanne Barnhill posts a manual method that has worked for
me for small booklets (20 pages).

You might like to take a look at and possibly demo a little utility called
BOOKLIGHTNING from Metaobjects:

You must convert your documents to PDF first, but this works for any page
length. Shareware.

I have: Those macros will not work successfully on the Mac.

I believe the article states that the macros won't work on the Mac :)

Cheers
