booklet printing

I have set up a booklet, 68 pages total and want to print double sided with
fold and staple in middle. Data consists of merged data (from Excel 03 to
Word 03) and graphics, section breaks, column breaks, and page breaks.
Although 68 is divisible by 4, it will not print evenly with the last page
beside the first, etc. In Word 2003, the highest bookfold page set up is
40...I have tried "auto" and "all" as well and none have worked.

You could make a pdf (with full-size pages), open it in Reader, and
use its Booklet Printing option to print your booklet. If your printer
doesn't have auto duplexing, an easy way to do it is to print the
whole thing "front side only," then reinsert the printed pages and
print the whole thing "reverse order" and "back side only."
