Bookmark hyperlink Problem

I have bookmarked a block of text in a Ms Word 2003 document and then
hyperlinked an Excel cell to the bookmark. That works fine. When clicking the
linked cell it goes to the bookmark which has the entire block of text
selected.

However, when I hyperlink text from another MS word to the same bookmarked
block of text, the link just takes you to the beginning of the bookmarked
text. The text is not selected (highlighted), so the reader has no idea
whether 1 line of text or 20 lines of text have been bookmarked.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
