I'm starting to teach myself about bookmarks, fields and switches. Up to this point, I've had some luck with some help from this group (thank you), but I've come across another problem. My office uses a outside vendor's database and document generator. I know the coding for this software and have coded some of our own precedents to work with the program. However, where the program shows its limits, I'm making up for it in Word. One of the programs codes for $dollar amounts does not have a modifier (or "switch") or another code for showing that dollar amount in text, so I've been using bookmarks and ref fields with the switch \*dollartext \*cap
This works well, except when in this case, there is more than one agreement generated. The bookmark sticks with the last agreement in the document (multiple agreements are generated in one document) and it works for that one last agreement, but I can't use a ref field in the other agreements within the same document, because the dollar amount for each agreement is different
Can someone teach me an alternative?
