Bookmarks for an inserted picture

Hello, I would like to create a bracketed bookmark and in between the
brackets I would like to have a picture, but everytime I insert the picture
the bookmark changes to the simple I Beam. I'm using Word 2003. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

It's simpler to insert the picture first. Then select the picture
before going to the Insert > Bookmark dialog.

If the bookmark is already there, insert the picture and allow the
bookmark to collapse. Then select the picture, go to Insert >
Bookmark, and enter the same bookmark name again. That will redefine
the bookmark to include the picture.
