Bookmarks missing PPT 2003 to PDF 6.0 . Worked in 2000 Adobe 5.0

Powerpoint 2000 and adobe 5.0 accomplishs the creation of bookmarks in the
PDF documents when the conversion option is used (using PDFMaker). In
powerpoing 2003 and adobe 6.0, this option seems to have been disabled? Is
it. I'm getting an error during conversion that bookmarks are not possible
unless the print what -> slides option is used.

Additional note: The book mark used to be the slide name in the adobe 5.0 PPT
2000 combination

Under powerpoint 2000 and adobe 5.0 the conversion worked with bookmarks
created from slide names where the PDF document was created as a notes page
image (printing notes pages selected in the options settings). I want the
notes pages. It is really nice where document created in powerpoint can
double as manuals distributed in Adobe that contain an images of each slide
notes page.

So.. is there any way to get gookmark inclusion with the conversion to PDF
printing notes pages.

If there is no way creating PDF notes pages with slides names as bookmarks,
then is there anyway to increase the slide size image during the conversion
process when sending to word?

I want to convert the notes pages - this is the purpose. This works (PDF as
notes pages with the bookmark being the slide name) in PPT 2000 and Adobe
5.0. I want PDF notes pages with each page named as the slide name. This
way, training presentations double as system documentation.

If I can't do this, than is there anyway to change the slide size
automatically crreated during the send to word creation?

I simply execute the convert option from Powerpoint. It is bookmarks that
I'm referencing. Each slide name is converted as a gookmark for the slide.
In the conversion settings under Adobe 5.0 under Office there is an option to
create bookmarks which I've checked, and under document open options (which I
can't find under Adobe 6.0) I've selected bookmarks and page (I thought that
this instructed Adove how to open).

In PPT 2003 I get an error (as I've set the print as notes pages) that
bookmarks will be lost unless print slides in selected. I don't get this
error in PPT 2000. The computer with PPT 2000 has Adobe 5.0, and the
computer with PPT 2003 has Adobe 6.0 - so I can't mix and match to see which
product is the difference (i.e. PPT2003 with Adobe 5.0 is not a testable
option for me).

Again, if there was a change in PPT 2003 or Adobe 6.0 to limit this, the
second alternative is to convert to Word - and the send to option creates the
slides at a smaller size than I'd like - any way to change that default?

If you show me a way to send documents/upload attachments, I'd send the
samples to prove what I'm doing.

I upgraded to Adobe 7.0, and this respoved the problem. Bookmarks are now
created. Must have been a bug. Still can't figure out how to default the
open options to show the bookmarks when initially opened, but one can do this
in Adobe and save the ducument.

I've tried this with PPT2003/Acro6 and dont' get any warning message in Acrobat 6.0.0
[later ... or in 6.0.1 after applying the update]

I get notes pages in the PDF but no bookmarks. So other than the error message, we're in
synch here.

No matter; you need to make it work with what you have, and besides, Acrobat 5 didn't
work correctly with PPT 2003.

Do you have a huge number of these to do or is it an occasional problem?

There's a way to get the bookmarks set to slide titles but they end up being
non-functional ... you have to edit them in Acrobat to get them pointed where they
belong.

If that'd help, I'll be happy to expain the general theory ...
