Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC
Line weights in Excel 2008 for Mac are screwed up. The default border line displays thinner than it prints, with a display width of maybe 0.5 point but a print weight of 1 point. The thinnest border line you can choose looks like a thin line of dots on the display. In Excel 2004 and previous this printed as a solid 0.25 point line. Now it prints like it looks: a line of little dots.
In drawing mode using the line tool, lines designated as 0.25, 0.5 and 0.75 points all print at 1 point width. I don't recall what this did in Excel 2004 but in Excel 2003 for the PC, the line weights print correctly.
This is extremely annoying and needs to be fixed.
