Border around drop-down list box

I'd like to have a border appear/show around drop-down list boxes when the
form is printed. This happens automatically around text boxes and when I try
to add them for the drop-downs the option is greyed out?

This can be done by copying the view and creating a print view where the
dropdown is a textbox or expression box. There is no method to make the
dropdown print with its borders on.
