Border around multiple objects

I'm trying to put a box around some text and an image. First I tried using
a text box for the text, but couldn't figure out how to put the (already
existing) image into the object with it. Next, I tried using Borders and
Shading to put a border around everything, but it insisted upon putting
separate borders around the text and the image. Is there any way to put
one border around both the text and the image?
