Border outline disappeared

hello,

i created a document that has tables. i was able to see the gray outline
layout of the tables.
i just opened the document and the gray table outline is not visible.
how do i get the gray outline back?
i'm using word 2000.

i just opened other files that i created tables in and i can't see the gray
outline layout in those files either.

Dr.Indera,
Have you tried to activate the option in the "Tables"-menu, show/hide way
down at the bottom of the menu?

i feel like a nit-wit.
i clicked on so many options, to try to turn in back on.

i wonder what i did to turn this option off <smile>
