Borders that move when i drag and drop contents

I have a rudimentary calendar/billing worksheet I use. The trouble is, when I
move an appointment, and those cells happen to have a border, the border
moves with the contents. Is there a way to make borders stay put, yet allow
the cell data to be moved to another location?
