borders with booklets

M

Mary

I am TRYING to finish my thesis, but I need a border to change sides of the
paper -- i.e., odd pages border on right, even pages border on left. That
way when the pages are back to back the border is on the outside of the book
where you turn the pages. I can get it to work for the first two pages,
through page formatting, but from page 3 on, it will always stay like the odd
page. HELP!!

Create the border as a line (using the Draw toolbar tools), anchored to the
respective headers.

Hi,
Do the following:
1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
2. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Layout Tab.
3. Under Header and Footer Section, select the Odd and Even Check boxes.
4. Click OK.
5. On the View menu, click Header and Footer.
The Header Footer Toolbar appears and the cursor blinks
in the Odd Page Header.

Do the following:
• On the Format menu, click Boarder and Shading.
• Click the Border Tab
• Under Style, choose a line style from the list.
• Under Color, choose a color from the list.
• Under Width, choose a line width from the list
• Click OK.
6. Click Next icon in the Header Footer Toolbar.
The cursor blinks in the Even Page Header

Do the following:
• On the Format menu, click Boarder and Shading.
• Click the Border Tab
• Under Style, choose a line style from the list.
• Under Color, choose a color from the list.
• Under Width, choose a line width from the list.
• Click OK
7. Click Close.
