Borland Database Engine (BDE) Download?

Because Access won't recognize dBase files with names longer than 8
characters, I read where I need to install the Borland Database Engine
(BDE). I went to Borland's site and downloaded ver. 5.2, but it will not
install unless Delphi or dBase is installed.

Anyone know how to get the drivers from the BDE installed on Win XP if the
user isn't running Borland database applications?
