bot code

Is there a guide to the bot code? I am trying to understand the following
code:

vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl
vti_timelastmodified:TR|18 May 2006 19:14:29 -0000
vti_extenderversion:SR|4.0.2.4222
vti_nexttolasttimemodified:TR|18 May 2006 19:14:29 -0000
vti_nosourcecontrol:SR|True
vti_privatetext:IX|1
vti_author:SR|tiktin
vti_donotpublish:BW|true
vti_modifiedby:SR|tiktin
vti_timecreated:TR|18 May 2006 19:14:29 -0000
vti_backlinkinfo:VX|default2.htm

Sometimes it also has the line:
vti_syncwith_tiktin\\f\:\\safetychoice\\indecs:Tr| (date and time)
I am particularly interested in the meaning of "backlink" and "syncwith".
Since the code "syncwith" refers to a folder on my computer I cannot imagine
that it would be relevant once the code has been uploaded to the server. Can
it then be deleted? I am also curious about the meaning of the vertical bar,
|, which seems to occur frequently in bot code. Thanks.

The files you are looking at are what FrontPage uses to determine what pages are linked to
what pages and many other useful things.
They are created by / used by the extensions when you are editing a web with extensions.
Do "NOT" edit them or delete them.

Also, they aren't "bot code," they are metadata files.
