Bouncing dock icon

Recently, my Entourage dock icon has started bouncing every few minutes, and
of course won't stop until I switch to Entourage. This only used to happen
when I actually had mail arrive, but now it seems like it must be happening
whenever my scheduled mail check occurs.

I can't connect this directly with any Office update, and I am not sure
whether it may have occurred after a System update. But is anyone else
seeing this, and if so, can you turn it off? It's driving me nuts.

Never mind, I just had a password problem with an account, causing the icon
to bounce on the error (which can't be turned off)
