My combobox is bound to a table field called "Techadeq". The possible values
are "Poor" "Fair" and "Good". I have conditionally formatted the color scheme
so that depending on the choice the background color is either red, yellow or
green. When the user clicks to open the form, the field taking the response
is blank (white, no entry). It is a 'required' field and I want to draw the
users' attention to it by having it have a red background before it's entered
with one of the restricted choices. I have tried a couple of approaches that
had the effect of accomplishing this little I set out to reach with the
unintended consequence of coloring all the choices in the drop-down menu of
possible responses with the red background color as well! That is kind of not
what I think should be (ideally) going on. Why can't Access get it right?
